Stefan Cohen

EXPERIENCE

Stefan Cohen joined Bain Capital in 2016. He is a Managing Director and member of Crypto team. He has been leading crypto investments for the firm since joining, focusing on layer 1 infrastructure, scaling solutions, DeFi, and privacy.

Prior to joining Bain Capital, Stefan was an early employee at Turbonomic, a datacenter software company that was acquired by IBM for $2B, where he built the company’s Strategy and Operations team. His team was responsible for cross-functional go-to-market strategy, process design, and operational improvement. Stefan spent his last year at Turbonomic leading their expansion into EMEA. Before joining Turbonomic, he was a Senior Consultant on IBM’s internal corporate strategy team advising IBM’s business units on growth strategy and operational improvement projects.

EDUCATION

Stefan graduated from Clark University with a degree in economics.
