Investing is about getting to know something really well, but also knowing there are things you don't know. It’s important to be confident but know our limitations, collaborate, and be open-minded.
We are good listeners to different points of view. We don't have a “This is our view, and that's it." Mentality. We really come in with a hypothesis that we test against facts.

Global training programs occur at inflection points in an employee’s journey at Bain Capital. These programs focus on skills needed to excel in current roles and beyond.
The L.E.A.D. program is designed to enhance the expertise of Platform Services professionals. Focused on skill-building topics including leadership, entrepreneurship, agility, and development, the program equips participants for success at Bain Capital and beyond.
Investment Professional Orientation (IPO) brings together new investment professionals from across the Bain Capital platform. The program helps new investment professionals get started at Bain Capital, connecting them with one another, providing context, and providing a knowledge base to help them succeed.
Our culture of apprenticeship drives how our people learn and develop. Through both formal and informal mentorship, employees learn from one another and stretch their skills.
Learning and development
We learn at a rapid rate, working in small teams, gaining hands-on experiences and apprenticeship opportunities, and tackling broad strategic, financial, and operational issues. We supplement this learning with ongoing formal training, providing a foundation of skills essential to the next role or challenge.
External experts share their insights and perspectives on a wide variety of topics in our quarterly Speaker Series available to all employees.
