Experience

Robin Marshall joined Bain Capital in 2009. He is a Partner, Co-Head of Global Private Equity, and Co-Head of Bain Capital’s Europe Private Equity business.  Since joining the firm, Robin has been a key member of our European leadership team and instrumental in the continued expansion of our platform in the region. He has led or been a key contributor to several transactions over his tenure and has actively served on the Boards of Directors of numerous companies Bain Capital has invested in including WorldPay, MKM Building Supplies, Valeo Foods, Bio Products Laboratory (BPL), Bugaboo, Concardis, Mercury / Nexi, Nets, Securitas Direct, esure, and Zellis.

Robin also serves the U.K. Ministry of Defence as the Lead Non-Executive Director for the Nuclear Defence Board and as a Non-Executive Director of the Defence Board. Prior to joining Bain Capital, he was a Partner at 3i and the founding partner of 3i’s US Private Equity business. Prior to that, Robin was a Managing Director of 3i’s UK business. Previously, he was with McKinsey & Company and Procter & Gamble. 


Education

Robin received his Master’s Degree from the University of Glasgow. He was also a post-graduate Thouron Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania.
