Michel Freund

EXPERIENCE

Michel Freund joined Bain Capital in 2015. He is a Partner and a member of the North America Private Equity team. Michel works extensively in Brazil, supporting portfolio companies there and assessing new opportunities. He also plays a leading role in Bain Capital's portfolio "growth acceleration" thinking.

Prior to joining Bain Capital, Michel was at CVC Capital Partners where he was a senior member of the Operations Team. Prior to CVC, he served as an Associate Principal at McKinsey & Company where he focused on technology-enabled growth and operational transformations across the FIG, pharma, transport, and media industries. Earlier in his career, Michel served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for both Smarterwork, an online outsourcing platform, and LocatioNet, a software house. He started his career at L’Oréal Group.

EDUCATION

Michel graduated magna cum laude with a master's degree in commercial engineering from Solvay Business School in Brussels and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
