David Shaughnessy

EXPERIENCE

David Shaughnessy joined Bain Capital in 2018. He is a Principal on the Tech Opportunities team. Previously, he was a member of the Ventures team, focused on software and technology-enabled service companies.

Prior to joining Bain Capital, David spent four years at Goldman Sachs in New York and San Francisco.  Most recently, he worked on the Goldman Sachs Growth Equity team in San Francisco, focused on growth stage investments in software businesses. David began his career as an analyst in Goldman’s Investment Banking Division in New York.

EDUCATION

David graduated from Duke University with a degree in economics and a concentration in finance.
