Bain Capital Private Equity in exclusive discussions to acquire Consolis

LONDON, December 23, 2016 – Bain Capital Private Equity announces that it has entered into exclusive negotiations with LBO France regarding the acquisition of Consolis, a leading European industrial group specialized in the design and manufacture of high-performance pre-cast concrete products.

Consolis holds leading positions in Northern Europe in the building sector, and in Europe, Northern Africa and South East Asia in the rail and infrastructure sectors. It has operations in over 28 countries, employs approximately 10,000 people and generated revenue of €1.3 billion in 2015.

The proposed transaction remains subject to approval by the group’s works councils and customary regulatory approvals and is expected to close by the end of Q1 2017.

Bain Capital will be partnering with the highly experienced Consolis management team to grow the business. Bain Capital has a long and successful history of applying its deep operational expertise in the industrials and building materials sectors to the development of companies globally, such as Ibstock and Bravida. Bain Capital believes that Consolis is well positioned to benefit from the expected growth of the construction industry in the markets in which it operates.
