On Sunday, October 8, 19 Bain Capital Europe employees ran the Royal Parks Half Marathon in London for our partner charity Right to Play. The group successfully raised a total of £15,202, more than doubling their ambitious target of £6000.
Bain Capital has been involved with Right to Play since 2003, supporting the organization through volunteer efforts, board seats, and philanthropy. Right to Play uses the transformative power of play to educate and empower children and youth. Through sports and games, Right to Play teaches children essential life skills that help them overcome the effects of poverty, conflict and disease so they can create better futures and drive lasting social change in their communities and beyond.
The amount raised by the Bain Capital team will help to train 126 volunteer coaches to deliver Right to Play programs reaching 3,780 children in weekly activities for a year.
