On August 5 – 6 the Bain Capital PMC Team, comprised of 25 employees, friends and family members, biked a collective total of 6,000 miles over two days in the 2017 Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC) to raise funds for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI). Several thousand riders from around the world joined together to participate in the event and have committed to helping the PMC reach its goal of raising $48 million for The Jimmy Fund, the charity arm of DFCI that has supported cancer research & treatment since 1948. Since its inception in 1980, the PMC has raised over than $547 million for DFCI.
Team Bain Capital has set an ambitious goal for 2017 to surpass their 2016 fundraising total of $1.6 million and finally hit the $2 million mark. So far, the team has made great progress, having raised more than $1.7 million to date. While the ride itself may be over, their fundraising challenge continues up until the deadline of October 1, 2017.
